Welcome!
I am primarily a quantitative population ecologist, with strong interests and experience in modeling of survival rates and reproductive success as key elements in the conservation and management of species and their ecosystems. My current research emphasis focuses on the effects of habitat characteristics and climate (particularly in relation to climate change) on survival, reproduction and foraging ecology of a variety of bird species, as well as other vertebrates, like black-tailed deer, and the Oregon slender salamander. I work collaboratively on these projects in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest region, as well as elsewhere in the United States and Antarctica with my students and colleagues.
