I happened to learn about Sensory Science during my internship in a distillery in India which then exposed me to the world of Food Science. I decided to pursue my masters in this field after which I worked as a Sensory Scientist for Lactalis American Group for 4 years, leading their sensory division in the USA. At OSU, I am currently working on understanding the taste perception of starches!
I enjoy hiking and going on long distance drives (which has helped me explore so much that PNW has to offer). I also make good lentil soup and saag paneer!
Undergraduate Students
Undergraduate Student- Galen Moll
Current Food Science & Technology undergraduate student at Oregon State University
Bio: My name is Galen and I’m currently studying food science as an undergraduate. I work in the Lim Lab where we are researching human sensory perception. I intend to find a career in sensory science after attending graduate school. The graduate students I work with are incredibly knowledgeable and easy to work with (especially when I am trying my best to learn about the complicated science we do). Outside of school, I have a passion for cooking and I play ultimate frisbee on the club team at OSU.
